Utilities Engineering - is responsible for implementing the capital improvement plans for the city’s electric, water, gas, and wastewater distribution systems and provides assistance to the operating departments.

Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. contact for:

  • Processing and planning new utility customer service connections.
  • Ongoing utility projects.
  • Utility specifications and standards.

Utilities Operations - is responsible for maintenance, repair, replacement and service installation for the electric, water, gas and wastewater (sewer) distribution systems. 

Contact them when you have problems with:

  • Electric, water, gas and wastewater service interruptions.
  • Street light and traffic signal outages.
  • Fiber optic outages.

All Utility projects within the City's public right of way (including gas services up to and encompassing the gas meter) shall conform to the Water, Gas & Wastewater Standards and Electrical Requirements contained in these web pages and the Public Works Standards unless otherwise approved in writing by the responsible Engineering Manager. Private utilities on private property are under the jurisdiction of the City's Planning Department, Building Inspection Division.

El Camino Park Closed During Water Reservoir Construction
