Wastewater Engin. & Operations

The City of Palo Alto Wastewater Engineering Section is responsible for planning, designing, budgeting and construction of major capital improvements to the city’s wastewater collection system. This program rehabilitates or replaces about 200,000 linear feet of wastewater mains and 2,000 service laterals each year.

The Wastewater Collection Operations Section is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, operating and regulatory compliance of the city’s sanitary collection (sewer) system.
